What it does
- Scores stocks on price, value, quality and other factors, and builds portfolios within position and sector limits.
- Tests each strategy on point-in-time index membership, so a backtest can only buy companies that were in the index on that day. Every run carries its own check for look-ahead.
- Turns a strategy into a list of trades and tracks it after launch. It does not place orders.
Founder
Hadron Capital was founded by Kingsley Emelideme, a physicist trained at the University of Alberta. He worked on the ATLAS experiment at CERN’s Large Hadron Collider, studying trigger efficiency for missing transverse energy, before moving into quantitative equity research.
The Vision
Named after the particles studied at the LHC, where the interesting results come from collision — here, of data, models and disciplined execution.
One principle: trust nothing you cannot verify. Every backtest is checked against the index as it stood on each date, every signal is measured on how well it has predicted returns, and every portfolio decision traces back to a stated reason.
The aim: reproducible results, honest uncertainty, and strategies that hold up out of sample.

Beyond the Terminal
When the terminal closes, a different kind of exploration begins. Kingsley is drawn to the complexity of the natural world — navigating mountain trails, covering long distances by bike, and chasing the kind of stillness only the outdoors can offer. He is equally fascinated by robotics and autonomous systems, finding the same elegance in a precisely programmed machine as in a well-optimised portfolio. Throw in a chess board and a passport, and you have a man who believes that the best thinking happens far from a desk. For him, curiosity is not a hobby — it is an operating system.
